They are trying to push as many hunters through as possible. Youll hunt highly pressured areas from stands that have been in the woods probably 10 plus years without any maintenance. 23 guys in camp last year for a week. , 3, 130inch deer seen total from all hunters. One killed. I saw 11 deer altogether during 4 all day sits plus 1 morning.

Save yourself the time and money - Hunters Beware...IMB is a sham outfit and thieves (especially Darrin Bradley). I purchased 2 hunts (before I realized their schemes)...1st hunt was at the Missouri property...after speaking multiple times with Darrin regarding expectations, we settled on 1st week of archery, because they are 'patterned' bucks, per Darrin. Approx 5 days before the scheduled hunt, weather forecast called for a steamy high 80-90s...so I called Darrin to express my concerns. He claimed MO property is river bottoms and it wouldn't get that hot and encouraged me to proceed with the hunt, which I did. Well, 3 days into the hunt and barely any deer sightings...so I left (while still tipping the lodge/guide). I called Darrin on my 12+hr drive back and he had the nerve to say we just didn't hit the weather right...seriously. 2nd hunt was in Iowa, the venerable Zone 5 region. Following the 1st hunt, I wanted to make sure my expectations were clear and had several conversations with Darrin...who reassured me this time would be different, 6-8 hunters tops and lots of deer and really big deer! Upon arriving, I was surprised to see 20+ hunters in camp and became very upset when during the camp introduction meeting on arrival day, camp manager explained that if any of us saw a 130' buck, their job was complete. Fortunately, I did manage to tag out on a mid 140s deer (despite their claims of 150+! NOTE: I was trained at SCI in scoring bucks...I put the tape to it and landed on 141 and change - biggest buck taken in camp that week!). IMB's daily stand log is a joke! I kept a detailed deer sighting journal...reported my journal daily and the camp guides misrepresented each day's talley. IMB exaggerated greatly, lied continuously, and in my opinion after having hunted 2 properties, IMB is nothing more than snake oil salesmen scheming to take hard earned money from unsuspecting hunters. Hunters Beware.

Very poorly run outfitter. guides get lost. stands are in shambles if guide can find them. food and lodge are great but go elsewhere if you want a fair or good chance at seeing a nice buck. you are wasting your money and being taken advantage of if you go here.

I just returned from a 4 day muzzleloader hunt. First the good parts. The guide and his lodge are great. We only had 4 hunters in camp and the guides did everything that they could to get us on deer. I saw no less than 40 deer a day. the food was all homemade and was spectacular. the stand set ups were in good locations and we were placed daily so that we would not be busted by bad wind. So the stay was pleasant. Now the down side.I never saw a shooter buck the entire trip. There were only two of us hunting the trophy property (145' plus). The other guy in camp saw a 150 class 300 yards away one time. That's one sighting in 8 sits for 2 guys for a total of 16 sits. We had zero shot opportunities. In looking at the book kept at the lodge, the prior group had no sightings in their 16 total sits. That's one sighting in 32 sits on the trophy farm or 3%. Based on this type of availability, the hunt does not warrant the price. If the muzzleloader stats come out on the website as anything more than 0% shot opportunites then someone is cooking the books. The take away from this is that the bucks are not there to hunt. In fairness, we did see some 120 class deer that will score next year, but by the time the archers and rifle hunters finish up, the odds will be about the same. This is a $1600 hunt, not $3300. Second, there are way too many does. I saw close to fifty or more every day. The buck to doe ratio is way out of wack. They could take 80 does off the property and still need some doe culling. And we all know that big old bucks do not like to hang with does. Third, there are no food plots or habitat management. Because the land is leased, the outfitter is unable to perform the tasks necessary to keep bucks on the property. Several areas have closed canopy because the necessary trees could not be removed to open up the understory. As a result, the holding capacity is reduced based on this shortfall. Lastly, if my understanding of success rates are accurate, they are misleading. For instance, if I had seen 3 shooters during my sit, but did not have a shot, that would have counted as 3 opportunities. With just two hunters in camp, that's 150%. A more accurate and revealing success rate would measure the number of shot opportunities each individual hunter had. Would I go back, I thing so. But not at that price. Be your own judge.
