The range has some potential, but the management makes it a extremely negative experience. Short version, he is condescending and insulting. I thought with time he would improve and we would establish a working relationship. Didnt happen. Warning, if you give notice that you will not renew membership, expect him to cancel your access, if you have anytime left on your contract. If you feel you have no choice but to use the DothanGunClub, do not allow him to have auto pay access to your credit card, use check if possible.

Pros- Well-kept and clean range, plenty of space for all users, long and short distance shooting, regularly scheduled competitions, close to Dothan, fair price for membership.Cons- Unfriendly owner Overall, I really enjoyed using this range and Im glad I became a member. However, my experience was tainted by the attitude of the owner. He is not friendly at all and gives off a sense of distrust. His suspicion and accusatory emails are annoying and stifles the atmosphere while on the range. I know running a range isnt easy and comes with a lot of weariness (safety is paramount), but you must be able to suppress the attitude and make the members feel wanted and comfortable. Basically, be accommodating to the members that have good intentions. Also, randomly doubling the guest fee all but crushed the chances of bringing friends, especially those with a developing interest in shooting sports.

Great place for varied firearms enjoyment in a friendly, safe atmosphere. Beautiful facility!
