Don't come here if you need help with backpack fitting. I was in there for at least 1/2 an hour asking for help, thought I got a small backpack. Somehow I got a medium- didn't even realize the same backpack had multiple sizes. Now I spent 280$ on a backpack that cuts and bruises my hips because it's too big, and I can't return it because it has some dirt stains. I wanted to support local businesses and went in because I thought they'd help me be properly fitted. But I'd recommend everyone just goes to REI online- much better return policy and it's a bit cheaper!Edit in response to store owner: I asked if I could buy a new waistband in both stores- both told me that the pack is so new that Osprey hadnt come out with waistbands for it yet. No employees told me that there were other waistbands that would fit the pack. After checking online, I also came to that conclusion. I wish that, like you said, someone had offered to sell me a properly fitting waistband- it was so painful wearing that pack for work and I like the design so much. I also asked if I could exchange for the same one in the proper size. I wore it for four days- there was light wear where the bear can slid in, and on the bottom where it was put on the ground in the backcountry. I just wish an employee had mentioned to me during the time I spent at least half an hour asking for help with sizing and picking a pack, that the packs had small, medium, etc. sizes. Had I known there were multiple sizes I would have definitely gone a size down.
