It depends on what you're looking for. Fishing rods and anything you need for high school sports is great. Their ammunition is a pretty wide range and affordable, although be prepared to wait an eternity (California, not entirely their fault). They have only the basics for everything else. It's a small store and they pack in as much as they can.

Let's say I've been buying my shoes from Big 5 Sporting Goods for over 40 years in that time you come across defective goods,. This one shoe purchase I made lasted only 30 days and a defective occurred. I paid with my CREDIT CARD. I went back to the Store and without QUESTION the Store Manager Exchanged my Shoes,. WHAT GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE.

Polite, but very incompetent. 2 employees couldn't figure out, if a certain item was still on sale. It has happend, one too many times. Don't think I'll be coming back to this location.
