I was a regular customer of this shop for nearly 3 years, and would continue to be one if I didn't have to move. X-Ring is an excellent example of a family-run gun store. The selection may not be the size of Cabela's, but what you will get is an excellent customer service and willingness to help you make a right and very well informed choice. If they don't have what you want in store - they will try very hard to get it for you. If you have issues with something, be it a minor problem with a recent purchase or something serious - they'll do their best to assist and help you. Certainly, there are rules and policies you have to abide by, but this is a gun shop, not a Walmart. Everyone at the store is very nice and helpful, and as long as you are familiar with some basic etiquette and communication skills, you'll have zero issues. At the end of the day, everyone wants a light and comfortable atmosphere around. Pricing is extremely fair for brand new items (plus you pay 0 sales tax in DE), and they do get quite a few interesting items for consignment here and there, but be sure to check the store itself, sometimes interesting things are literally 'walking in' as you are inside. 11/10, excellent experience all around.

If your a young African American Male save yourself the trouble and shop elsewhere. The atmosphere was very unpleasant almost as if they dont want you to buy a firearm from them unless your of course Caucasian. Would go as far as to say your profiled from the second you walk in to the time you leave, eyes are always going to be on you as if your going to try and commit robbery. The tone that youll more than likely receive will 9 times times out of 10 be based upon what you wear, skin color etc. Godforbid you get a delay on your firearm because your immediately frowned upon and they will definitely make it known with no remorse. Highly unprofessional response in terms of tone again if your not to sure or familiar with a certain firearm and or accessories.(First Time Gun buyers be highly aware) Again Godforbid you get a delay on a purchase because you will definitely be looked at, addressed and treated as if your a criminal and or trying to buy a firearm illegally. Overall Unprofessional, Rude, Profiling and just an outright Hostile environment. Would never recommend to anyone of color. Horrible experience...

UPDATEDService seemed great, we were there at nearing closing time, maybe 5-6pm. My friend got a really nice Beretta (not sure of the full model/name). Placed an order for a .22 1911, still waiting on a call back, they said it would take a few days, I'll update this review after my purchase is finalized.Update: Got a call yesterday to go pick up my Colt 1911 .22LR, was very excited, the transaction went smoothly.It has a very nice selection of guns and ammunition as well as attachments of all sorts from your standard pistol iron sights to sophisticated Scopes. There is also a clearance area with a few outdated items worth checking out if youre looking for some rare or elusive items.I really like this store, its never too crowded and very well lit, it has a very mellow atmosphere Ill be coming back when I feel confident enough to get a 9mm and later a .45 and then who knows what from there. On a side note, I was a little bit worried from reading the previous reviews of people saying they were profiled and what not, since I am Hispanic, but I have to say I did not feel anything of such everyone in the shop was very well mannered and helpful.X-Ring is also a family operated shop so expect to see the same faces every time you visit, this in my opinion is great because it allows you as a customer to establish a relationship with the employees making it feel a lot more welcoming after a few visits.

Very nice people that were very helpful!!! It's not a big box store so the employees are very patient and will show you as many weapons or accessories as you would like to look at. They were happy to answer any questions and show me operating procedures for the guns that I looked at.Overall, I would highly recommend anybody going there and I plan to go there again, soon.

I had a very pleasant experience at X-Ring Supply. I was looking for CZ Scorpion and Magpul Glock mags. As a MD resident, I have to travel out of state to find standard capacity. Both mags are for pretty popular firearms, so I was confused when two stores in VA didn't have them, and the big box stores didn't have the Scorpion mags.Enter X-Ring: They had both, well stocked, and a great selection of pretty much any popular firearm mags. The place was well stocked, clean, and prices were good.I see that some commenters below have said they were profiled. For what its worth, I'm also a minority, and felt very welcomed and comfortable. The staff were very pleasant, none of the stereotypical rude gun store employee vibe.

I just recently made my first firearm purchase ever at X-Ring. I had visited a number of times prior to my purchase. In every case the staff were pleasant to talk to, helpful, and weren't bothersome when I was just looking around. I didn't encounter any big egos or brand fandom gun shop employees are rumored to have in the time I was there. I had spent a lot of time watching various gun reviews prior to coming in and they politely tolerated me talking like I knew anything about firearms at all. I purchased a Shield, an extra mag and some ammunition. The (manager?) was a sport and willing to be a little flexible on the price of the firearm. He also cleaned off a mark on the slide before handing it over. I would say my experience was very positive.

the negative reviews are old, the folks at X-Ring were nothing but professional when my son and I went in last weekend. the younger gentleman worked with me at the same time he was working with another customer, when I moved to the other counter and older gentleman helped me out and had no problem showing and explaining each gun I asked to see. there was also a young lady behind the counter working with customers, she kept her cool when some jerk thought he deserved preferential treatment and asked if he had to take a number to get served...he was a jerk and she was awesome in the wake of the store just getting hammered with customers. one jerk out of 30 means nothing and neither do the old reviews. X-Ring keep up the great work, I will buy all of my firearms from the good folks at X-RING

BE WARE ...One of the worst experience ever ... do NOT shop there, they will profile you first, then they will hike their prices up on ANY Firearm that you inquire about so you end up NOT buying from them ... Another way of pushing you to leave the Store and NOT to sell you anything without being obvious about it.The Rude sales person went as far as almost calling me a Gang Banger, and made it crystal clear that he reserves the right NOT to sell the Gun if he is so choose to...Save your dignity and shop elsewhere and be treated with Respect, I guarantee you will NOT pay a hire price, and if you do ... You sure will pay it to a better class of Sales People ... Think about it.

Ive been in there a few times to look at guns or buy ammo. Bob was the only guy who has ever showed any enthusiasm for selling or helping. I had a custom scope mounting project for my dads old marlin model 80. the first time i went in there i was shrugged off and told to call their gunsmith (who doesnt call back). being this store is right around my the corner from my house, i went back and finally got some help. and it was awesome. the guy Bob helped me out a lot... unless your buying an assault rifle, these people could care less. even then i get the feeling that they are far more superior to you I've never been to millers, but at least they are willing to try and sell you stuff or lure you in over the phone. X-ring could care less.you can also tell the owner has posted a comment..the only 3 for 3 rating...Its amazing how everyone is saying the same thing about this place...UPDATE:They have done a complete turn around. These guys hustle and they are honest. kudos X-ring, I had my doubts.

I purchased my first handgun at X-Ring Supply and Werner was the associate that helped me pick it out. To this day it is still one of my favorites, which I owe all to him and his expertise. I found the customer service to be very good for a gun shop, especially because it was my first firearm purchase and I was expecting it to be an intimidating process. I remember feeling very welcomed and was not rushed to make a decision. Werner actually added me to a waiting list for a certain used model, but I ended up changing my mind a few days later and purchased a new firearm. I've had some irritating experiences with some of X-Ring's competitors, mostly the shooting ranges nearby. X-Ring continues to impress me with every interaction, knowledge and service wise.So, if you ask me if I would recommend X-Ring Supply, I would tell you YES!

Ordered my S&W SD9VE through their website on a Thursday night, for a nominally lower price than what I would have paid in-store, and on Monday afternoon they called to tell me it was in. Went into the store and filled out my background check documentation, followed by the instant approval, and was on my way. Buyer beware ************If you are a racially mixed couple coming to this store I wouldn't. They will profile you the moment you walk into the store, Then they will write on the paperwork do not transfer possible straw purchase. God forbid your pregnant girl friend goes to purchase home protection and all because her boyfriend is black all of a sudden it's a straw purchase!!!! Just like the first line of the affidavit read 'they walked in with there racially mixed child.' So sad but that's what happens I guess when you goto this store. Cost me 8k in lawyer fees because of this place, Good thing I'm a successful business owner in Delaware. But if I wasn't could have cost me everything. Avoid the headache go somewhere else!!!!!

They rised and flourished because they know what the customers want.They offered a great alternative for tactical-minded shoppers at a time when we did not have a good local outfitter for specific equipment, parts, and accessories. Sure, we have more choices online these days, however, Bob and his crew are knowledgeable and helpful. Their jobs are to offer the best tactical products and services, not serve fine wine and caviar.Contrary to popular belief, if a gun shop doesn't feel comfortable selling to someone, IT IS within their right, as a private company, to refuse service. Go elsewhere!I am a minority and an immigrant, I have never felt nor seen discrimination at X-Ring in the twenty years of knowing them.They are my choice destination in the entire northern Delaware, south PA area whenever I travel back to the region. Bar none.

I'm not one for reviews but I honestly had to make time and complete this one..please believe me when I tell you this, you will be profiled!!!!....This was my go to store upon PCSing to Delaware but everything change recently, not sure what happened. The group that currently works there are not really fond of any other race but Caucasian, you will not get as much as a 'can I help you?'

I recently built my first ar-15 in 5.56. I am kind of a novice when it comes to ar-15's and gunsmithing in general and was looking for a retainer pin for the takedown pin that I had lost during final assembly. The staff was EXTREMELY helpful and took the time to not make me feel like an idiot for losing the pin (as two other stored I called had). Not only did they have the parts I was looking for but much more. They also assisted me in mounting a compensator and properly tightening my castle nut which I was very grateful for. The staff was very helpful, friendly and patient and I will definitely recommend X-ring to others.
