I have to admit, I was looking for a rifle that was my own. A precision weapon set up that would be tough as nails and accurate. Sure I looked around and saw what was out there, saw if I could customize it to the specifics of the Marine Corps sniper rifle (with a small difference with hydrographics). Other manufacturers were hesitant in allowing certain customizations and wanted me to change things based on their thoughts, not Dave. After extensive research, I looked here to Tactical Rifles; I called Dave and discussed what I would like. Within a few days, I had an estimate and I paid it. When I received the rifle, I was in awe, it was awesome!! I have taken this rifle with me everywhere I went. This was to sniper courses, competitions and even Afghanistan. It performed flawlessly. I had zero problems with it, even after utilizing it in arduous conditions and am looking to Dave again to build another such a fine rifle for me. The M40A5 he built has all paperwork on it, this includes the ammunition log, the range cards, barrel log, and cleaning log and everywhere its been, trust me its a lot of paperwork. With over 21,344 rounds through it, I am still able to hit targets out to 1,200 yards. I have a Surefire SOCOM suppressor attached to it and its super quiet with the subsonic rounds we have that are currently developed. I recommend allowing Dave to get with you personally to assist you in building a rifle that fits you. He has stayed in contact with me quite a bit over the years and he will be doing my next build for me. Thank you for the excellent customer service and a quality rifle. I will be getting with Dave to get my retirement rifle as soon as I get my ceremony from the military. Thank you Dave for your assistance and great rifle, its one of the best and most accurate rifles I have owned hands down. Longest shot was at 1,236 yards. Again thank you for the great rifle. Eddie
