Very nice little store that sells delicious fresh smoked fish and some other local foods and gifts such as jams, stickers and other souvenirs. Great prices on the fish. The people are very friendly, helpful and down to earth. The next time we're in the area, we will definitely be stopping here again.

Its sad when you go to the U.P. in the middle of winter just to get Cut River Store's smoked whitefish....but who's complaining? You never need an excuse to visit God's country or eat His fish! Owners are very friendly, too. ;)

Neat store that is well worth the stop. Excellent smoked trout, salmon and whitefish, and tasty jerky, too. Very appealing exterior, which matters if you look at some of the other places along the shore; these owners (a couple) clearly care and make the effort. Also one of the last stops, if not THE last, to get this stuff if you are heading west on US 2, so keep that in mind.
