We had not heard of the Natchez Trace until this visit. Very interesting history and beautiful drive.

These photos were taken in Kosiusko, Mississippi. The town is named for a Polish nationalist who was inspired by the American Revolution and came here to help the Patriots win the war. The town is full of Victorian era architecture and welcoming people. Stop by the Chamber of commerce for info on the local sites. This town is also the birthplace of Oprah Winfrey. The Natchez Trace itself is one of the country's most beautiful drives. Be careful, though -it's also a speed trap. They are serious about the speed limit!
