Pros: Extremely knowledgeable staff, large and varied stock, very friendly staff, no waiting around.Cons: Prices are quite high, staff likes to up-sell.I went to Mark Fore and Strike to purchase a handgun. Staff was extremely helpful and stayed late to let me process paperwork. The staff member who helped me was the most knowledgeable I had encountered in town. I do pretty extensive research before all purchases and it was evident that the staff member had done his too. I was looking for a specific item and was impressed with their inventory. The gun was almost 100 dollars over MSRP (550), given the rarity due to COVID, etc I decided to buy anyways. The staff member then proceeded to try to sell me ammo (9mm). 50 rounds for $18. Not a great deal in my mind, so I decided to go look for a better deal while my background check processed over the coming days. 3 days later I return to pick up the gun and decide to buy the ammo there. The price is now $30 for the same box. The staff member that sold me the ammo walked up to the counter and had to tell the cashier what they were charging me for the rounds. This experience after being told I needed a holster for any CCW class I take in town made me feel like they just try to take advantage of any fresh face that comes into their store. Conclusion: Price gouging keeps staff friendly and the store stocked. Ill only head back if there is something that I need more than the extra dollars theyre going to charge me. That being said, if its something unique youre after this might be your best bet in town.

My experience here started off great, but quickly took a turn. I went here to purchase a particular scope and figured they would have it since they are a Vortex dealer. I went in purchased the scope and was also looking for a set of good scope mounts, but had a particular kind in mind. The man behind the counter, who's name escapes me, was incredibly helpful and spent a lot of time skimming through every bin of rings they had to help me out. Turns out they didn't have them, but no big deal. I can always come back. So, I purchased the scope and left. Had my experience ended there, this would be a 5-star review. But, unfortunately, it didn't. About a week and a half goes by and a friend who is also a Vortex dealer now (but not in the area) found out I wanted one and decided to hook me up with an incredible deal so I can finish this build that's taken forever. So, I decided to return the scope from this store and buy through my friend. I had very lightly mounted the scope awhile, but didn't torque anything down yet. And obviously, hadn't shot it yet either. I packaged the scope back up, grab the receipt, and head in. I tell them my situation and the first guy I saw was the same guy from last time. He was fine with it and made it seem easy, then pointed me to the man who was in charge of doing the returns - I'm guessing the owner. This is when things just got obnoxious. Doing a simple return and coming from a place of understanding wasn't in the cards I guess. He seems all disgruntled all the sudden and opens the box to inspect the scope and points to a spot saying it's all scratched because I mounted it. I knew it was really just sitting there and not even torqued to finger tight, so a scratch didn't make sense to me. I wiped the mark right off with my finger. He packs it back up and then gives me this long spiel about how it's going to cost his business money to do a return and how he needs to pay his workers and it's not fair to them if they took time to help me find something, to then return it. Talked about how he has a business to run, etc. and just makes a huge deal out of it. Dude, I don't need Sarah McLaughlin singing 'In the arms of an Angel' while you give me some spiel about how your workers need to put food on the table while you hold one of them in your arms, to guilt trip me for making a very simple return. I didn't feel guilty at all. It's a simple return for Pete's sake. I was just sitting there hoping the money came from his paycheck personally, if anything. I too, am a business owner and now FFL holder, so I don't need someone telling me how business works - especially with how you run it. Someone who is as experienced as you pretend to be, would know that this is part of how running a business goes. Welcome to owning a storefront. I take it you aren't there in person very often since returns seem to be a new thing to you. Then you deem it necessary to give customers who want to do one, a class on business and how you are going to be out oh-so-much money (when you really won't be) because of how you have to undo the credit card transaction and whatnot. Get over yourself. My advice to people is to just stay away from this place. It's a shame because the workers seem very friendly, but God-forbid you have to make a simple return. He will make sure you feel terrible about it...or at least try to. I will leave this review everywhere I can, spread the word to every friend I can in the area, and report this to Vortex since they have a zero tolerance policy on things like this. Hopefully, something will come of that. I don't know what that guy's problem is, but he's got to work through those daddy issues before more people catch on to this and he ends up running himself into the ground. There are no excuses for that in any way, shape, or form. That was horrible business modelling.

Nice to see one selling fishing licenses and other gear. Curbside or phone orders. Also will let a few folks in at a time. Having said that grabbed a few lures (5) too be exact. Three kastmasters and a couple of mepps. Didn't look at price tags (my fault) When the cashier rang me up bill was 40.43 I about gasped. Yes I could have not taken them-but they were only game in town. I will never go back for any reason and either will any of my family. Nothing like a little price gauging
