Dick's Country Store is a landmark for the area, even in the middle of nowhere it is entirely worth the stop, especially for musical instruments and equipment. There is no parallel for a music shop in the North Country. They carry an excellent selection of stringed instruments and have great prices and knowledgeable helpful staff. I have bought a couple of guitars here and have loved them both, they will also do basic repair and work on them as well and are always willing to help out beginning players or listen to an old pro riff on an electric guitar for a bit. Highly recommend stopping to look at the 'Guns, Gutars, Groceries and Gas' as the sign says.
