Calamity Jane's Firearms and Fine Shoes

The staff is rude and customer service is poor. The woman who owns the store also had a very bad attitude. I purchased a Ruger PC Carbine rifle and and 2 shotguns from Calamity Jane's. The shotguns both work fine, but the rifle does nothing but jam everytime it was fired. I reported the problem to the owner and she suggested trying several different types of ammo through different magazines as a way to troubleshoot the issue. This advice makes sense, so I did exactly what was suggested and wrote down all of the results...gun still jammed just about everytime. I went back to the store and told the staff that there was still an issue. The owner then tells me that she could not send the gun back to Ruger for any repairs because, due to Covid, Ruger was not open. She went to a computer and made it look as though she was checking to make sure that Ruger was not open. This was all a complete lie. I called ruger directly and they are most certainly open and have been all during quarantine. Ruger is definitely taking guns back that have functionality and/or safety issues. The attitude and the demeanor of the staff at this store is extremely negative as soon as you express any concerns about their products. If anyone decides to shop here, pay attention to the shady ways that the staff whisper and look at each other. The feeling I got everytime that I went there is that, all they want is your money and never want to see or hear from you again. I recommend going to American Trade Goods in Latham. Definitely a 45 minute drive from the Glens Falls area, but the service is much better and the staff is way more friendly.

The staff at Calamity Janes is very knowledgeable and kind. I highly recommend purchasing a firearm here. The staff helped answer all my questions and were very patient while i made my decision. I look forward to visiting again soon!

Horrible staff and very overpriced. Apparently the owners are unaware that the internet exists. Worst experience I have ever had at a local shop. I will NEVER go back to this store. I wish there were ratings lower then one star for places like this.
