I had the opportunity to visit Remington in 2007. The plant is built into the city of Illion N.Y. and has been there since 1816. The tour is fabulous and starts with an engraver in a glass booth. During the tour which was Free you see no automation in the build of the guns. Maybe that has change today but the experience of the America's oldest gun manufacturer is a site to see. I don't understand complaints of individual arms being posted here?!?

Models 700, 780 & 1100 Are legendary they just work and look great doing so. 200 hundred plus year's in the small arms arena. A Great American Company.!
