The owner and staff at Raquette River Outfitters are knowledgeable, caring and attentive. When was the last time you had ATTENTION when making a major purchase? These folks are totally onboard (get it?) with customer service and attention to detail. Firstly, they are Covid compliant 100%. They have lots of boats and expertise. I recommend them for any rental, excursion, or purchase. I purchased a post-rental SUP, they walked me through all options, a test drive and figured out how to get it in (nope), on my vehicle. The whole transaction was a pleasure from very pleasant people providing education and service to all who love the outdoors. They are a class act! Come to the Adirondacks and make this place a paddling destination.

Raquette River Outfitters is AMAZING!! We had a complex adk dream, six people all with their own personal lists of what they wanted/needed(and yes, I was the pickiest of all, even listing my preference for tree types!) and Ann listened patiently, asked questions we hadnt even thought of, gave us choices, explained the pros and cons of each choice, and ten (20??!) phone calls/texts/emails later we all, two families, arriving at different times, had hands down the most glorious three days in the Wild wed all ever had (and collectively weve had our share of beautiful wilderness experiences). We all needed a win (2020s been at trip) and we got one. I was so grateful for everything including the fact that they were SO cool and on point with social distancing (Im pretty covid-shy). When we got there they sold us a few extra things we needed, I asked them if they thought we needed anything else and they made a few modest suggestions, werent pushy at all. Such a dream. We were actually a bit late coming back and they didnt even charge us. We left a fanny pack out there and told them and they were on it instantly, putting out the word, doing what they can to get it back for us. Above. Beyond. Look no further. This is your outfitter!!

The folks here are wonderful. Busy as they are they still take the time with you so you have a good understanding of what the differences are in the various canoes and kayaks. We were pleased with our purchase and look forward to many days on the water. As rookies at kayaking, Raquette River outfitters helped us leap into a new activity. Thank you!

WOW! What a great place! I have been renting Canoes for decades, and usually get a beat up boat that I'm afraid to take far from shore. When I drove up they had a boat on saw horses and were doing maintenance on it! I knew immediately I came to the right place. We picked out the right boat for me (yes they had a selection) and while they loaded it on my SUV, I went in to do the paperwork. I was in and out in 10 minutes tops. I was also shocked when they handed me 3 paddles! I said there are only 2 of us... the owner responded, we always give an extra. We don't want our customers stranded. (I was used to trying to pick 2 that didn't look like they would break in half) Expectations WELL EXCEEDED!

Nice folks, knowledgeable, helpful, nice boats for the rental price! Will be going back.
