Bought a cheap gun somewhere else for my son's first deer rifle a 243 purchase the brake and had him thread the barrel and bore the Break out to the specific caliber he did an excellent job he went that extra step because of it being a cheaper gun the barrel had a little bit of run off of Center he corrected that with the threading open the muzzle break up the gun shoots like a charm reduce the recoil just him taking that extra little step and effort in alignment Barrel properly aligning it with the opening in the muzzle brake made a huge difference and not blowing the muzzle break up
