For Christmas this year, I got myself a Remington 700 heavy barrel in 6.5 creedmoor. I got a one piece DNZ mount for a scope and everything was perfect. Until I decided to put the mount on. I used the wrong screw to put the mount on and snapped the screw head completely off. And worst of all I left the bolt in the rifle and now it was locked in place by the broken screw. To say I was screwed was an understatement. I tried several attempts to get the screw out but only making it worse. Word to the wise, call a professional like Sam! My father in law worked with Sam years ago and said he could fix this problem. I was willing to try anything at this point. We showed up at the shop, he took a look at the rifle and assured me that one way or another it would get fixed. After several attempts to get the screw out failed from my mauling of the screw, it finally got drilled out and retapped. Thank god I brought the mount and the scope with me because that wasnt the end of the problems. The mount I received must have been a lemon because all of the screw holes needed to be cleaned and re-threaded. After a couple hours, problems solved. I must say that Sam went above and beyond to make sure my gun was fixed and that it was properly done. I am beyond pleased and will not hesitate to recommend anyone with any gun needs to give Master ammo a call!
