Red Bluff Lodge

Jim Boone runs one heck of an operation. Probably one of the few outfitters that I have been to where I did not know someone personally who went there to refer to. So, like most people searching online, I was taking a chance. Went to Red Bluff Lodge on a 2 day pig hunt. Excellent from top to bottom. Jim leaves very little if anything to chance. Wind direction, condition of equipment, stand approach, food, everything checked and re-checked. Not to mention he has the animals there as well. Both my hunting partner and myself ended up with hogs, on a 2 day hunt. I plan on returning as I honestly could not come up with a single recommendation I would do differently. If you are searching online for a hunt, consider yourself lucky to have found this place. I have hunted all over this country and consider myself very lucky to have found this operation. Some of the outfitters I have been with were in very close proximity to Red Bluff Lodge, and although I had great times at all of them, Red Bluff Lodge was the one that made absolutely sure you had everything you needed, including questions answered. I even learned a few things about shot placement, which was covered in the orientation BEFORE heading into the stand. That was kind of important to me. Red Bluff Lodge is not a sit in the stand all day and hope something comes out. The amount of preparation on the front end clearly has the outcome you hope for as a hunter traveling long distances with limited time to produce a real opportunity to harvest the animal of your choice. My partner feels the same way and we are already trying to recruit some additional people to head down with on our next trip to take part in a truly well run operation from top to bottom.

This was my first time at Red Bluff Lodge for an evening hog hunt for myself and a friend. I have previously done 2 hog hunts in Georgia and 2 hog hunts at another place in South Carolina. Red Bluff Lodge was by far the best hog hunting lodge I have used. The staff was exceptional, the lodge was comfortable and clean and the skinning area and freezers were clean and organized. Jim did a great job putting both of us on hogs for 2 nights of hog hunting. Scheduling and reserving the hunt was easy with no problems. Jim was responsive and answered all my questions before scheduling the hunt. I will return to Red Bluff Lodge for another hunt in the future.

Words can't even explain how great this place is! Mr. Jim Boone and Red Bluff Lodge is flat out awesome! If you are looking to make life long memories and have a blast with high odds of harvesting wild game, this is the place! The whole team @ Red Bluff Lodge truly 'under promised and over delivered' on our hunt!

My son and I booked with Jim and co for a one day alligator hunt. We had so much fun that day that I called my wife and she and my other two sons came in for extended/extra days there. One of my sons is not the outdoorsman but the guys there took him under their wings and taught him to shoot and by the end he was sitting in a deer stand with me. From top to bottom this is an amazing experience and place. Well worth it for the lifetime memories!
