In addition to building beautiful firearms Rick had authored two books. 'The Thin Green Line' details his experiences as a Pennsylvania game warden and is an exciting read to say the least. His latest, 'Coping with Grief' is about how he has been coping with the tragic loss of two of his children. I bought them both and after reading them I can only say that now I'm eagerly awaiting a third!

Rick has built two rifles for me and both were attractive, well-built and extremely functional. In fact, he built Gobbler Knob #1 for me and I immediately knocked down a nice doe with it. My second GK rifle I call Jenny because the first game that I took with the .54 flint rifle was a young hen turkey. Very fair prices and Rick's willing to work with a customer for custom features, as well as offering advice about loads that might work well. I'm very happy with my Gobbler Knob rifles and would highly recommend Rick and Gobbler Knob.
