Southern Precision Rifles

Greg is known for building extremely accurate precision rifles typically for PRS type shooting. I contacted him to see if he could take his expertise and build a precision hunting rig I could carry in the mountains of KY to chase whitetails. I already had a Rem 700 SPS 6.5 Creedmoor and a Mcmillan Stock to start the build with, before the rifle would struggle to shoot '3/4 and the factory action just felt like garbage. Greg trued the action, pillar bedded the action, and installed / crowned a Bartlein # 3 5-R barrel @ '23. The rifle turned out absolutely amazing, the action is smooth as glass, rig weights just under 7lbs and shoots better than anything I have ever shot in my entire life! I have attached some pics of the first groups I shot with the rifle out of the bed of my truck @ 100 Yards and these are the groups I got, the ammo was factory Winchester Deer season XP, Hornady American Whitetail and Prime 130 OTM. Whats so impressive to me is that each of these groups were fired with the three different rounds out of the bed of my pickup off a back pack with literally no time behind the gun before the groups!!
