Came here before and decided to come back to support a local business but I was not very satisfied with the shopping experience this time around. Maybe things have changed a bit since the robbery a few months ago and the ongoing pandemic, not sure. It's a real pity as the store is conveniently located but will have to take my money elsewhere.

DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS PLACE! This establishment will rip you off especially if you are new to owning a firearm. I was sold range ammunition instead of defense ammunition. Once I was advised I was scammed, this establishment refused to reimburse me. I'm so happy I didn't purchase my firearms from them, because they probably would have spiked the price up. I will make sure to report this company as well.UPDATE: Below the owner response shows the lack of professionalism displayed front and centered. As I stated before I will NEVER bless this establishment with another dollar from my pockets. Academy Sports is a great established with great customer service.

If I could give nothing I would... I left my gun at this store to get repaired due to me cleaning it and not placing it back together properly....once it was fixed I picked up my 9mm... i fired off one round which was good... I got home to take my clip out of the gun and to also make sure there wasnt a bullet in the chamber And upon doing so... my gun wouldnt go on safety... the trigger pulls half way through and the chamber wont open!!! I feel like if there was another bullet in my gun and I decided to shoot another round I would be dead! And now I have to pay to get my gun fixed again from what ever the tech did there! Just unnecessary!! Not safe at all!
