Midwestern Shooters Supply

I've been in Midwestern Shooters many times and unfortunately my experience has always been much less than desirable. Staff is mostly arrogant, which wouldn't be so bad if they actually knew what they were talking about. If you ever go in there looking for something in particular they will always try to talk you into something else that THEY feel is better. Bought a Winchester 30-06 from there awhile back. Literally had to argue with the guy over the fact that I didn't want the featherweight model, just because HE personally liked it better. On another occasion I wanted to buy a particular compact set of binoculars. I was dealing with a bald guy. He wouldn't even take them out of the cabinet and instead tried selling me some huge pair that I had no interest in. Had to buy them elsewhere. Last time I was in there I had to stand at the archery department and wait for some clown to finally come over huffing and puffing simply to get a couples arrows cut, I think Randy was his name, the chubby guy. I only recommend going to Midwest if you KNOW what you want and you're just going there to purchase. Don't go there looking for help or if you have questions on something. Just sharing my 2 cents from personal experience.

I'll give them one thing - they're consistent. Been in the store several times with the same result. Today was no different. Went in looking for a shotgun for grouse hunting. Store was not busy. Walked in, several employees standing around or sitting behind the gun counter. Went to look a the guns on the racks, never approached by an employee asking if I wanted help. Actually had one employee walk by several times - never said a word. The worst customer 'service' ever. They had what I wanted, but I'm not gonna beg them for help. Seems they don't care if they sell anything or not. The couple times I have been approached in the past they were rude and arrogant. Won't make the mistake again.

I called to ask a simple question.. guy on the phone was much less than helpful.. asked for a price range on handguns.. like whats the lowest prices you have was what I was trying to say and mid sentence he says.. best thing you came do is come in and look for yourself. Thanks and hangs up lol.. ummm actually no thanks, Ill just take my business elsewhere.. with an attitude like that Ill actually never step foot in your store again

I bought a rifle last year for my 8 year old son. I went in with the intention of buying a lower caliber for lesser recoil. I was convinced to buy a larger caliber rifle. After just sighting it in my son was too afraid to shoot it. I called last night to ask about trading it in I explained it was in perfect condition. I was told I would get $300-$325 so I drove 2 1/2 hours to return and purchase a different rifle yet still taking a $200.00 loss for it being used. When I got there they agreed it was in perfect condition but for no reason other than they need to make more money on it they went back on what was said and would only give us $150.00 at very most. We mentioned we had purchased 3 other rifles and would continue to purchase our rifles there but this individual did not care about losing a costumer. This individual is more focused on being greedy than costumer service.
