Always a great experience here. I went in to buy a rifle they said they'd price match a competitor on, and ended up buying 2 others as well because their prices are good. As far as gun store employees go, these guys are consistently above average. They aren't grumpy old jerks like singe gun stores, and they're pretty knowledgeable about California labyrinthine 'assault weapons' laws.

I was told at the front it would be an hour wait to get into the store because it was already filled up. The store was effectively empty, however due to COVID I can be understanding of such policies. However, Doug the manager told me I had an attitude when I asked what guns they had in stock, which surprised both myself and my family as I absolutely did not. I was nothing but kind and courteous until he accused me of such. I will never shop there or give them my business after being treated so rudely. As I was effectively being kicked out of line Doug said we are the only gun store within a 3 hour radius which is an incredibly incompetent statement as there are 2 in Monterey, an excellent one in Watsonville and literally hundreds between San Jose and San Fran only about an hour away. Dont waste your time on this store and drive the 20 extra minutes to Markleys in Watsonville where your business will be appreciated.

They have a decent selection of firearms, but the prices are really high. I guess this is what Californians have to deal with (regarding firearms). They won't FFL for any firearms they keep in stock or from Bud's guns either.

Decent prices and friendly staff, will shop here again
