Ranger Firearms & Mercantile

Visiting family from another state and was in the market for antique guns. They had one here that fit the bill but as i started to ask questions on how to purchase the firearm since i was from another state (if i had to buy it, if my father who lived here had to buy it) i got called a straw buyer and was told i couldnt purchase the firearm. I own several firearms and can pass a background test, but i know it gets a little hairy when transferring state lines. I honestly have never bought a gun outside my state and was trying to acquire it properly. Instead of explaining the process (i can buy it, just has to be shipped to ffl in my state or my old man can buy it and gift it to me) the younger employee jumped to conclusions and assumed i was trying to bypass the law... i understand protecting your business but this was just plain rude. I apologized to the manager afterwards explaining that i was not trying to buy it illegally but i was absolutely not interested in buying anything from them at this point. Very poor customer service.

Store has wide variety of products. They almost always have what I need. Store staff is super friendly and very helpful. The only downside (I personally find) is that their prices are on higher side compared to some other local stores. I always take my time and shop around. But often they have some of the things that no other store in town has. Store is definitely worth to visit and check it out.

Staff very knowledgeable about ammo, firearms, and conceal carry classes. They are very professional. Carry a great variety of firearms.

I had a great experience here recently. I wanted to put a optic on my son's rifle. They helped me find the right components and tools. They also let me fit it on right on their counter. I will be shopping there again in the future.
