As a owner of a resort, I may look at other issues beyond what the other guest might look at, staff presentation, painting of the buildings, or other weird stuff. I truly was impressed with the whole operation, and would highly recommend going there at least once in your life and you will want to go back! I really enjoyed watching the hunting dogs! They told me to give it 5 stars!

I want to start by saying the staff is amazing and they try really hard. Why they did not get more stars. A. The Bathroom we had, had a tub in major need of repair. Time to rip out all the old appliances in these cabins and give them some love and affection. It was in all honesty quite gross. B. There were many cockroaches in the cabins, yes we are out in nature, but I would think they would benefit from investing in some pest control. C. Once a few cockroaches were killed no one ever vacuumed the rooms again, It says 'Housekeeping included' But that was really just them remaking the beds and putting out some new towels. D. I know mostly probably dudes stay here, but it would have been nice if more of the meals included fresh vegetables and wasn't all pork, chicken, beef. The cook did a nice job, but definitely burgers are not his strong suit. This last thing is definitely not anything to do with being the fault of the Plantation, but if you are planning to meet in the large meeting room for more than 1 hour, bring cushions, the rustic dining room chairs were painful when our classes were going for more than 2-4 hours. I honestly could not get up from those chairs fast enough. It would be beneficial to this place to take more pictures of the actual accomadations for their gallery. Again, the staff is amazing and did a wonderful job.

We just had a company Christmas party this past weekend at Wynfield Plantation, and it was an absolute blast! Everyone had a wonderful time and truly enjoyed the time away. The staff was extremely professional and really seemed to care about the clients' experience. The food was out of this world (by far the best fried chicken I have ever eaten), and there were always drinks readily available to enjoy. The lodging was very nice as well. I fully expected low-grade motel type amenities, but the cabins were very nice and well furnished. As for the quail hunting, we all had the best time! Many members of our group had never been bird hunting before, so the guides were very patient and took the time to make sure we all had an enjoyable experience. The dogs were very well-trained and loved their job. Despite the frigid temperature and harsh wind, we managed to take 190 birds between eleven shooters. We're already trying to plan a date to return next year. I would recommend Wynfield without any hesitation!***UPDATE*** Another positive remark about this place is that they truly deliver personal care. My daughter lost her sweater while we were there. The Wynfield staff found it while they were cleaning the cabin, and took the time to track down who owned it, and then paid to have it shipped home to us. Way beyond normal customer service!
