I moved to NY two years ago. Went into the gun store and was given the once over look from the owner probably thinking who's this guy and what's he really here to do. He asked how he could help me and I told him that I needed to get my NY permit to transfer my CT firearms to my new home. That's when a helpful informative dialog began and Dennis told me exactly what to do. He and a few co-workers also in a jokingly manner told me some of the tales of what people come in to the store with..gernades, rockets, etc. Dennis does not deal with an easy clientele so you can imagine his patience is going to be thin. It's not like he's selling bedding and box springs. Long story short he helped me out and everything went very smoothly for me. Im not going to invite him over for lunch, but hes very knowledgeable and helped me get the firearms registered legally in NY.

Guns for You is a pretty cool place to hang and talk to Dennis (owner) even if you're not buying. At first meeting he might sound a little salty, but once you get to know him, he will have you either laughing or learning something about firearms or politics... or laughing at politics. I bought a Smith & Wesson M&P 40 from Guns for You way back around 2008 and use it to qualify for my annual armed guard certification. Dennis will never sell you junk.
