When I took my class years ago the people were very nice and very knowledgeable on guns and safety. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a good place .

I took my permit class at Carters in 2013 and bought my first pistol there. Since that time I have periodically used the range many times. My wife and I have known the owners since we were high school age. Yesterday my wife and I reached out to them to help a young man that is very near and dear to us, who is currently battling cancer. He had a few days break from the hospital and wanted to go shooting. I could not go because I had been around my grandson who was running a fever. So we asked if they would help make it possible for him to shoot today. They did more than make it possible, they went to special efforts to make it a special day. I cant thank them enough, and you can bet that they have my future business.

They have a store policy on the amount of ammo a customer can buy each day. This policy seems to vary each day,.... was a single box of 20 rounds today, and 40 rounds last Wednesday. The exception to the policy would be if you're using their firing range.I guess the policy is designed to bring a customer in every day until they have fulfilled their ammo needs? This didn't work in my case,... I'll find another source.
