Having never owned or even been interested in learning to shoot a handgun, the best decision I made was to start with the Hoppers and Shooter's Supply. After almost three years of regular interaction with the staff and owners, I can share some opinions that have formed over time: 1) Safety first and foremost: I joined the range to help my daughter validate a career choice she was considering. The initial orientation was excellent and we had what I think was the right amount of supervision as we got started.2) Family-owned, Family-run: I've enjoyed doing business with the 'owners' which include both family and long-time staff. It's hard to describe this aspect without making subjective comparisons with other business models. I'll say instead that this is a place where I feel comfortable bringing my family and first-time shooter's as guests. 3) Full service, competitively priced: I was motivated by some of the other reviews that address cost but not necessarily value. Having grown-up benefiting greatly from our own small, family business, I admit being less price sensitive than most. But I have also compared prices and made some significant purchases here. For the things I've needed, the difference in price between Shooters Supply and anywhere else just hasn't been there for me.I could say more but will end with saying thanks to Larry and his 'team'. You've made a profound difference and it's very much appreciated.

Took a little longer than anticipated to get my AR-15 and pistol cleaned since they were backed up. However gunsmith seems to be pretty knowledgeable and even gave me some insight on my vintage firearm.
