Lone Star Indoor Gun Range

Very informative. We purchased our first gun here. Will be back to practice shoot.

Was looking for a hand gun for my wife. We had been to this place many times under previous ownership and have never had a bad experience and have purchased a few firearms there. Fast forward to when we go in to look/shoot to see what works well for her. The reason this was the first stop was the fact that you can actually shoot a rental firearm before purchasing and they have many models. I asked the gentleman at the counter if the fire arm rental was free if we purchased a handgun (this was a policy under previous ownership). He did not know but said he could ask. We go shoot the few models we think may work and come out of the range to the counter. I confirmed they had what she liked best in stock and then asked if it was found out if the handgun rentals were free if we decided today. The gentleman got the owner and the following statements were made:I can't give everyone a free rental, some times all the revenue I get in a day is from rentals. *Fair, and understood. If thats the way he wants to run the place that is his right.*Then we have this:You are looking at a $200 Taurus (if he would have actually looked at the situation, we were looking at a $550 Sheild). If you were this guy (points to other customer) spending $3000 then you are damn right you can shoot for free all day. How on earth do you expect me to ever get to be 'that guy' if you are saying things like this? All I was trying to see was if the possibility of the rentals being free was a thing and you began belittling me over nothing. Advice to owner:Rent out your handguns for free (charge for the lane and ammo) if someone buys a gun from you. What does it cost you? Zero. What do you gain? An edge over the big box store 4 miles down the road.Quit belittling your customers. Good luck with your business, you will not get any more from me.
