I want to start by saying the owner, Dennis was not present and has been helpful to me in the past. He sold me my first sig years ago. The guy 'helping' was the older gentleman with grey hair. So story time, I went in to make a purchase but decided I would see what I could get for a trade in first. Either way I was going to purchase the gun I wanted.( sig sauer p320 x-comp with sig romeo pro sight) I brought in a Sig Sauer .40 cal Equinox. P229. If you know guns, you know the track record of the Sig p229.( Retail was $1149. I didnt pay that as I got it second hand years ago.)the equinox is from the Sig Custom Shop. Custom shop used to be the higher end sigs. Quick back story on the gun: the equinox is older and discontinued, normal for gun manufacturers to discontinue themed guns. The sig p229 itself is still being made, just not the equinox version. The gun has less than 300- 400 rounds through it, which is apparent. The gun is near flawless. It's really too nice to take to the range or use as an everyday carry, hence the reason it doesnt do me much good. So the guy tries the normal ' car dealer' tactics, ' it's too old to look up'. ( sure it's an older gun, but guns dont lose value purely due to age. Some actually go up in value, like cars.) Next, ' what are you looking to get for it?' So I fairly said 'no less than $550.' This guy says he wouldnt even be able to sell the gun for more than half that. Hahaha, I said ' really? You cant get 275/300 for a steel sig p229 made out of sigs custom shop?haha. Whatever dude, so my gun has the same or less value than a hi point or ruger LCP? I wasnt trading out of necessity, just isnt me doing me any good. Oh yeah, the guy also stated the night sights were all out too. I went straight home to check and they for sure still glow! They aren't as strong as they were when new, but still work. I'll try to post pictures so everyone can see the gun. I was going to buy a $870 dollar pistol either way but not after my intelligence was insulted. I suppose business has been so good lately you can treat people like they know nothing. **pics are posted so you can see a $275 dollar Sig**
