After receiving some poor customer service several years ago, I originally wrote a negative review for Lodgewood. Although I stand behind the fact that the service was originally very poor, I have had several positive interactions with Lodgewood since that original review. Because of this I have decided to edit my posting to reflect more accurately on their service. All the best.

Our re-enacting group has had Lodgewood repair several of our muskets including Euro-Arms Enfields which are so hard to get parts for since Euro Arms no longer exists. Personal and expert service. We have done business with them for years and would not go anywhere else.

In one Word - 'AMAZING'. I just received back the Chiappa Model 1861 Springfield musket that I had asked the good folks at Lodgewood to de-farb for me. I was stunned by the the thoroughness and quality of the work. I did a side / by side / by side comparison between this musket, an un de-farbed musket, and an original nearly pristine contract Mod 1861 from my collection. The Lodgewood defarb appears to be a clone of the original 1861. This work was well worth the price. The process for getting de-farb work done was very smooth and uncomplicated. David has a way of making you feel like you are his only customer. If you want historical accuracy for your re-enacting weapon you need to contact these folks. You will be glad that you did and you will wonder why you didn't do it sooner.
