Sporting Arms

I have been to sporting arms several times and each time I have a very good experience. There are three stores in Athens that deal in guns and ammo within 2 to 5 minutes from my home but I find it is well worth the time to travel the 15 or 20 minutes to Winterville to this friendly family owned store . Oh yeah, just step over the sleeping dogs. They are the real owners!

I cheated (or tried to) with Jerry by trying Clydes today. I just needed done 45 ACP and literally waited 45 mins and could not checkOut. What was I thinking? Yall just shop right here at Sporting Arms. They have it all and actually are nice to you. Wont happen again Jerry.

Everyday folks running a one of a kind gun shop

Recently went to sporting arms in Winterville with my friend so that he could purchase a pistol I also wanted to look at one for myself, first of all it was very difficult to find, the guy educating people on the firearms they were looking to buy, had no idea what he was talking about, kept telling me what I was looking for didnt even exists whenever I had one in the car with me. They made me and my friends very uncomfortable the owner of the place And the employees were very paranoid Like I said made me extremely uncomfortable. They watched me the entire time I was in there while we were waiting on my friends background check which took well over 30 min. Would not recommend this place to anyone nor will I ever be returning to this place of business for any of my sporting needs even if they were giving the stuff away, it was ridiculous how paranoid they were I honestly could not wait to leave felt so relieved to walk out that door.
